Two of the things that differentiates libertarians and conservatives are 1. Overall knowledge of socio-economics. 2. Libertarians know that those in government and their special interests that fund their campaigns, are not at all concerned about what is in the best interest of the majority and it’s a game of deception with both sides of the isle participating. If you take most legislators, you will find that they often stray from their parties principles and promises, as they vote on the many bills before them. Both sides of the isle will jump ship to provide special interests the legislation they desire, caring less about how it affects the majority. Both sides of the isle are taking the money and providing the necessary votes to payback their special interests/contributors. It may appear to be politically one sided, but just enough votes miraculously appear from the other side, giving them the needed votes for passage. If this were a rare occurrence it would be another issue, but it isn’t.
At one-time, Democrats were much more isolationist as it pertained to warfare and defense. Not today, they vote in lockstep with the neo-conservative Republican to provide additional funding to the military industrial complex, already at absurd levels of $700 billion annually, larger than the next eleven (11) largest government budgets in the world, COMBINED!!!! Let that seep into your brains. The rest of the countries in the world has substantially lower defense budgets and our politicians, because of the vast amounts of campaign contributions given to them, keep increasing our military defense budget so high that the next 11 largest defense budgets in the world “combined” isn’t even that high.
When it comes to medial insurance, only the more libertarian, like the “Liberty Caucus” are protecting the public by not supporting the more inferior Republican Medical Insurance plan. Example: Big Pharma does not want to have to negotiate the price of their drugs with the government for Medicare D, and thus far both sides of the isle are going along with their policy. http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2017/jan/17/tammy-baldwin/tammy-baldwin-federal-government-prohibited-negoti/ Noted in this article is that Barrack Obama promised this reform but back down on it during the passage of the ACA getting another broken promise demerit from the folks at Politifact.com.
But many conservatives in our society at least understand they are being placed like a violin by their own Party. Not all of them but many of the more intelligent people.
The progressives on the other hand have no clue. The only see the failure of the other Party as the problem and not their own despite all the evidence. I would never finish this article if I had to write down all the hypocrisy coming from both the left and right. Example: Both Dems, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida, as well as Hillary Clinton, Republicans Sen. Marco Rubio and Florida Governor Rick Scott, along with about 246 other members of Congress, both Dems and Repubs received campaign financing from Big Sugar with Democrats generally receiving more annually over the last 20 years. Sugar is really bad for our children and is being used to create food additions but our government in their lack of caring and greed, subsidies the sugar industry is about 8 different ways. https://www.opensecrets.org/industries/summary.php?cycle=2016&ind=A1200
People wonder why I’m a libertarian, when it should be, why others are not. What do we have to do to make you see that voting members of Democrat and Republican Parties are being played like a fine-tuned Stradivarius Violin. Our two-party system, government education and the lame stream media have perpetrated one of the greatest cons and frauds in history and despite all the evidence, people are still listening to them.
